Bengkung Belly Binding-$150
Bengkung Belly Binding is an historic method of postpartum recovery used in many cultures around the world. The wrapping of the abdomen is said to assist muscular healing, aid the pelvis in returning to its pre-pregnancy state, skin tightening, and more. A session is booked (in most cases) prior-to delivery. This includes an unbleached muslin, 16 yard wrap and one-time application of warming paste. The session can be held at both Mercy Touch or in the comfort of your own home, for no additional charge. I will teach you and a partner (not required) how to wrap yourself for the next 40 days. This a multifaceted way to both assist your body in healing post-birth, but too, gives you a moment in each day to focus on yourself and your recovery. Pair with postpartum massages for added gain. Please contact me through phone or email to ask questions and book your Bengkung Belly Binding Session.
** If a colorful wrap is preferred, the client may purchase 4 yards of 100% cotton, patterned material and a custom wrap will be made for them prior to both birth and your belly binding session. Material must be received at least two weeks prior to the session and is $15 more.
**Essential Oils are used throughout all massages on an as-needed basis with proper clearance from each individual client. Please disclose prior to your massage if any health concerns or known sensitivities to essential oils are present. I will always ask before applying any essential oils to the skin, however, aromatherapy is generally present during massages unless otherwise requested. It is also important to note I am not a certified Aromatherapist and do not profess to that standard. All essential oils are used solely for the enhancement of the massage experience.
